Jining II Coal Mine is located in the north of the Jining east coalfield, where its coal quality is similar to Yanzhou coalfield. It was started construction in 1989 and put into full operation in 1997, with annual designed capacity of 4 million tones. Certain sections of its main mining seams are consolidated into one layer with an average thickness of 6.78 meters, and the remaining sections are divided into two layers with average thickness of 2.1 meters for the upper seam and 4.68 meters for the lower seam. The mine mainly adopts longwall mining method. Up to 31, December, 2007, the proven and probable reserve is about 422.1 million tones

        Original designed capacity of Jining II Coal Mine preparation plant is of 3Mt/a raw coal. And most equipments of it, including the jig machines, heavy medium cyclones and floatation cells are manufactured in China. Its principal product is No. 2 clean coal/thermal coal.
